How often you should receive massage therapy depends on your goals, health status, and the type of therapy you’re getting: for chronic pain, injury rehabilitation, or significant stress reduction, weekly or every-other-week sessions are often most effective for achieving and maintaining progress; for general wellness, relaxation, or maintenance, once a month is a common and practical schedule; acute issues may require more frequent sessions early on (two to three times per week) tapering as symptoms improve; and factors such as medical conditions, medications, or insurance constraints should be discussed with your therapist to create a personalized plan that balances effectiveness, budget, and recovery time. If you’re not sure how often you should book, just contact us HERE. We’d love to help you plan for your care.

Aurora Menkee LMT blends her intuitive healing touch with years of training and clinical experience across multiple modalities—Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Craniosacral, Deep Tissue, Swedish, Osteopathic and Orthobionomy techniques, and Holistic Reiki—to create a tailored, deeply restorative session for each client. She reads the body's signals with sensitivity, drawing on a broad toolkit to address pain, fluid imbalances, nervous system dysregulation, and energetic imprints, then adapts pressure, pacing, and technique in real time to meet individual needs and goals. This integrated approach ensures that treatments are not one-size-fits-all but responsive, evidence-informed, and aimed at long-term function and wellbeing, whether the priority is injury recovery, chronic pain relief, detoxification, or emotional release. Clients leave feeling heard, restored, and empowered with practical self-care guidance that extends the benefits of the session into everyday life.

To maximize the benefits of your massage therapy sessions and support your body and spirit between visits, arrive well-hydrated and rested, communicate openly with your therapist about pain, sensitivities, and treatment goals, and follow any at-home care recommendations such as stretching, gentle strengthening, or posture adjustments. After sessions, drink extra water, rest if needed, apply heat or cold per guidance, and avoid intense exercise for 24–48 hours when deeper work has been done. Practice mindfulness, breathing exercises, or short meditations to extend relaxation, and prioritize sleep and balanced nutrition to aid tissue repair and reduce inflammation. If you’re managing chronic conditions or recovering from injury, keep consistent appointments, track progress and any symptom changes, and coordinate care with your medical providers or insurance when appropriate to ensure an integrated approach to healing.
